Are you planning to sell your house and want to get every dollar for it? In this video, I’m going to share 4 quick home improvement tips to help you get the most money out of your home sale. I’ll explain how making your home look good will ensure it will sell faster and for more money.

Tip #1: New Hardware

Listing your house is stressful, but what’s more stressful is not getting every dollar out of it when you sell. The truth is that how your house shows is everything. The better it shows, the quicker it's going to sell--and for more money. If you want somebody to fall in love with your house just like you did, you have to make sure it looks and shows its best.

The very first tip that we always suggest is adding new hardware to your kitchen cabinets. Nobody likes old rusty handles on squeaky drawers. Make sure you replace outdated hardware with something new and stylish, not something you can find in your grandma's house. You can go easily go down to Home Depot and get some really good knobs, take them home, and install them in less than a couple of hours.

Tip #2: Fresh Paint

Home improvement tip number two is fresh paint. Just because you like violet purple doesn't mean that anybody else does. So go cover it up with something more neutral that everybody can vibe with. You can opt for a beige or light gray, as long as it’s neutral and totally simple.

Tip #3: Kitchen Upgrades

The third simple update that we suggest is upgrading the kitchen. To be more exact, you’ll want to update the appliances. One of the number one things that buyers hate is walking into a house, pulling open a stove, and seeing old crusty cheese and mold growing in it.

The other thing buyers don't like is opening up the dishwasher and getting a nice whiff of mildew. Having new appliances makes the house feel new--and that's the whole point.

Tip #4: Replace The Toilets

The fourth thing that we suggest is changing out your toilets. Do you really like the idea of using someone's toilet that they've been sitting on for the last 5 to 10 years? I don't know about you, but I think that's too close. And if the bathroom is small, it wouldn't hurt to think about adding some new tiles, updating the vanity, and other small fixes.
